"We had a deal. I've given you what you want, no more." Jacob responded, his tone flat and calm, like a wave lapping on the ocean bed.
Elyssara merely clicked her tongue, and with a bedazzled spin, was gone from his sight. Hopefully, he would not have to see her again.
"Uga, I'm ready to fight now," Jacob said, loosening his muscles as he manifested another black portal before him. Such things had become second nature to him at this point, considering he needed the portals to move everywhere in the Tower.
"You are free to do so, Jacob," Uga responded, placing its hands behind its back.
Uga took a significant step back and allowed Jacob to walk into the portal first, following right behind but ending up in a different spot from where the young man was.
This was how Jacob wanted it. He would only get to see Uga when he eventually left the battle arena, at all points, and Uga was satisfied with it.
