Fidgeting with her toy bunny's ears, she kept her eyes fixed on the window overlooking the patio filled with falling snow.
The bright white of winter morning filtered into the room that itself remained dark except for a small lamp lit by her bedside.
Exquisite white curtains, now grey in the dark, hung at the huge glass windows with curved wooden frames at the top. Soft, velvety, dark grey couches placed in front of the windows contrasted with the white light entering the room, reflecting the snow outside.
Opposite the windows, at the other side of the room was his gaming setup, with every advanced and updated equipment he would need, even though he rarely got time at weekends to play.
She remained sunk at the edge of his bed. Playing with the fluffy bunny in her hands. Waiting.
Suddenly throwing the bunny to the side, she bounced, giggling, and stood up on the bed with her arms stretched open, as soon as the sound of the unlocking door reached her ears.
A gentle smile appeared on his face as he walked to her and grabbed her by her waist, twirling around with her in his arms.
Their eyes smiled as they giggled, staring at each other with love, as if they had discovered a language that required no words.
"I missed you", she spoke as he sat on the bed with her in his lap
"Well, I was only out for.." he looked at his watch, "46 minutes".
She pursed her lips. "Um, you know I only love you, right?"
He raised an eyebrow. "What did you do?"
"Nothing; I just wanted to say that I hate everyone else and that I only love you"
"Okay, what exactly did you do?"
She chuckled mischievously . He could always read her like an open book.
"Do you remember that ice cream you left in the freezer yesterday..."
"You ate it." he figured, raising his eyebrows.
"But you're lactose intolerant!" he pulled her cheek while she laughed. "You love to torture your tummy, don't you?"
She went ahead and explained that she ate it because she was too bored. It had taken the both of them a war on its own to achieve the peace they deserved. But their story wouldn't end there; and neither did it start very happily.

Staring into the mirror, fixing his light brown-blonde hair, Arthur took a deep breath. His light grey eyes matched the turtle neck that he topped with a black coat. It was time to face the most distasteful time of the year: a party.
He entered the hall where around 50 people were present, all engaged in different activities.
"Micheal is here too?" Arthur asked himself, surprised at his arrival at the party arranged by the Olvasens, Arthur's family.
The Olvasens had always been at a rivalry with the Whites; both of these families ranked the top richest family in the world alternatively, while the Olvasens were Norwegian and the Whites, Americans.
It was no surprise that Arthur hated Micheal. Ever since their childhood, the kids his age were told to interact with each other for the sake of "diplomacy", but he couldn't stand the obvious stupidity in some of his fellows. Especially, in Micheal.
Micheal kept stroking his silver white hair away from his forehead, as he stood with a glass of wine in his hand, talking to Finn Anderson, the only child of an Australian billionaire. Micheal wore a smug smile on his face like an accessory. Almost as if he knew it pisses people off, and he loved doing it.
Upon seeing Arthur, Finn called his name to join them.
