The club Seo-jun had mentioned in passing during the drinking game turned out to be the same one Jihan had wandered into alone an hour earlier, drawn less by any specific plan than by the simple need for noise loud enough to drown out his own thoughts. He'd found a stool at the far end of the bar, ordered something strong, and let the first drink go down fast enough to blur the sharpest edges of the evening.
Seo-jun spotted him there sometime after, doing a visible double take before crossing over.
"Small world," he said, sliding onto the stool beside him. "Twice in one week. You following me?"
"You told me about this place three days ago. I remembered it existed." Jihan didn't quite manage a smile, though he tried.
"Fair." Seo-jun studied him for a moment, something more careful entering his easy expression. "You look like a man who came here to drink alone on purpose."
"Something like that."
"Want company, or should I take the hint and let you sulk in peace?"
