"Hey, stranger." Seo-jun's grin was easy, unbothered, the same effortless charm from the mall weeks ago. "You look like you just woke up from a coma."
"Close enough." Jae-min rubbed a hand over his face, still processing the sight of him standing there after everything the past few days had held. "What are you doing here?"
"You never texted back after that day I drove you home. Figured I'd try the old-fashioned approach instead." Seo-jun leaned casually against the doorframe. "Thought maybe you'd want to grab dinner sometime. Properly this time, not just an accidental mall run-in."
Jae-min looked at him for a long moment, something tired and clear settling behind his own exhaustion, the events of the past several days pressing down with a weight that made the whole idea of continuing this particular thread feel suddenly, obviously wrong.
"Seo-jun," he said slowly. "I need to be honest with you about something."
