The file was thick, held together with a rubber band gone brittle with age, and Jihan's hands were unsteady as he set it down on the desk and opened it properly.
The first page was a photocopy of an old identification document. A man's face, younger than in the photograph they'd found a week ago, but unmistakably the same person—the butler, formal and composed, standing behind Jihan's mother's chair.

Jae-min went very still.
"Han," he said quietly. "That's Min-woo's surname."
Jihan's head snapped up. "You think they're related?"
"I don't know. It could be a coincidence—it's not an uncommon surname." Jae-min's voice had gone tight anyway, some instinct telling him this wasn't coincidence at all. "Keep reading."
