At this very moment, a stellar battlecruiser was appearing like a firefighting hero across various star system battlefields within the North Wind Star Domain.
Whenever they were defending against the attacks of the Interstellar Zerg, three T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers would suddenly arrive.
With an unstoppable offensive, they would eliminate the T3 Nest Motherships within the Zerg fleet, then depart without looking back.
Soon, this news reached the ears of the Governor of the North Wind.
"Multiple T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers are appearing on interstellar battlefields across various locations?" The Governor of the North Wind looked astonished.
"Yes, these are the images captured by the relevant fleets." The subordinate displayed dozens of images, all of which without exception showed scenes of the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers making their appearance.
"So far, at least nine registered T3 Nest Motherships have been destroyed by them! Strangely enough, their targets seem to be only the T3 Nest Motherships. They pay no attention to other targets unless they interfere with their mission to annihilate the T3 Nest Motherships!" The subordinate said incredulously.
Such a combat style was unheard of.
"Contact Zhao Chen immediately!" The Governor of the North Wind said sternly.
Only Zhao Chen possessed the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers, so these appearing ships undoubtedly belonged to the Fierce Dragon Fleet.
But such numbers... there had to be at least a dozen!
He had always valued this grandson-in-law, whose talent in starship manufacturing was truly remarkable.
But he never expected that when he was overwhelmed by these Interstellar Zerg, it would be this young man who made a dazzling entrance.
"I had only heard that this T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser was powerful, but seeing it with my own eyes now, I truly believe it. Such a starship is perfectly suited for this kind of high-mobility support-style annihilation warfare." The Governor of the North Wind praised.
Just then, the subordinate hurriedly said, "Governor, we are currently connecting with Viscount Zhao Chen."
A communication window appeared before the Governor of the North Wind. Since the connection had not yet been established, it remained black.
Soon, a somewhat blurry video feed appeared before the Governor of the North Wind, accompanied by hurried breathing from the other side.
And a somewhat noisy environment.
"Commander... behind... behind!"
"Don't worry about front or back, I'll skewer it through with this gun!"
Boom
Bang bang bang
Hiss hiss hiss
Various sounds rose and fell, as if they were on some battlefield.
The video feed began to clear up, but the frame was entirely of Zhao Chen's face. He seemed to be wearing a tactical helmet, with a built-in camera facilitating the communication.
"Is that the Governor of the North Wind? What brings you to me at this moment... I see your big ass is asking for a beating! Take this shot!"
The strange words left the Governor of the North Wind somewhat bewildered.
"What are you doing right now?" the Governor of the North Wind inquired.
"Fighting Zerg! These bugs are really numerous." Zhao Chen's breathing was somewhat hurried at this point.
"Fighting Zerg?" the Governor of the North Wind exclaimed in surprise.
"This... would be too troublesome to explain. You can see for yourself." Zhao Chen adjusted his feed, the image shifting from his face to the menacing head of a Zerg.
A hand was gripping its head.
The next second, the Zerg's head was crushed.
Zerg fluids splattered everywhere.
This sudden scene startled several subordinates behind the Governor of the North Wind. Some female administrative officers paled instantly, nearly vomiting.
In the distance of the feed, a city could be seen—a city that seemed to be burning.
Zerg of various kinds were visible everywhere in the city.
Guards within the city were locked in bloody combat with these Zerg, suffering casualties at every moment.
In the sky, several T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers hovered mid-air, providing fire support to the ground.
T1 Hive Motherships and T2 Hive Motherships plummeted toward the ground like meteors.
Around Zhao Chen, dozens of T2 Black Knight-class Light Interstellar Combat Mechs were fighting, forming a defense line against the Zerg assault.
The entire scene was somewhat dizzying because Zhao Chen was constantly moving. In his hand, he held a silver-white spear—but this was no ordinary cold weapon.
Within this spear-like weapon were other technological capabilities.
Firstly, it had a laser gun emitter, allowing for long-range laser attacks.
Simultaneously, a magnetic field could be activated at the spearhead, enhancing its striking power.
It was a modernized close-combat weapon.
Perfect for dealing with these Zerg.
Some noticed that at the bottom of the feed, a massive pile of Zerg corpses had accumulated. It was even possible that what Zhao Chen was standing on wasn't the ground at all.
But the remains of Zerg.
"Where are you right now?" the Governor of the North Wind inquired.
"The Third Planet of the Sapphire Star System," Zhao Chen replied while fighting.
The Governor of the North Wind glanced at a subordinate beside him, who immediately marked the location of the Third Planet in the Sapphire Star System on the Star Map, along with the latest information from there.
The Sapphire Star System was also a disaster-stricken system, and a relatively severe one at that.
Within its star system, two Level 3 Cosmic Zerg Nests, eight Level 2 Cosmic Zerg Nests, and twenty-nine Level 1 Cosmic Zerg Nest had appeared.
Dozens of planets had already been invaded by these Zerg.
The Governor of the North Wind hadn't expected Zhao Chen to support the frontline so quickly.
"As a Fleet Commander, you should be commanding the battle from your starship. It's too dangerous to personally come to the frontline like this!" the Governor of the North Wind warned.
At that moment, the number of Zerg around Zhao Chen decreased slightly, allowing him to catch his breath.
"It's fine. I just couldn't stay cooped up on the bridge. After being idle for too long, I wanted to come down and stretch my limbs," Zhao Chen said nonchalantly.
Stretch his limbs?
Who uses Zerg to stretch their limbs?
"Regardless, you must pay attention to your safety!" the Governor of the North Wind said sternly, then returned to the main reason he had contacted Zhao Chen: "T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers have appeared on the battlefields of every star system attacked by the Zerg.
Was this your arrangement?"
"It was my arrangement. Is there a problem?" Zhao Chen replied bluntly.
The Governor of the North Wind inquired, "Why did your T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers only attack the T3 Nest Motherships and leave after destroying them?"
"I believe the primary objective when dealing with the Zerg is to first eliminate their T3 Nest Motherships.
Based on my combat experience, the strength of an interstellar Zerg fleet significantly declines after losing its T3 Nest Motherships.
My T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers are limited in number. To eliminate as many T3 Nest Motherships as possible and stabilize the overall situation, I assigned them the sole task of targeting those T3 Nest Motherships," Zhao Chen stated firmly.
After all, he couldn't very well say that he was acting based on mission objectives, could he?
