Ryan's POV
Exhaustion and dehydration.
That was what Ryan was suffering from, and the same was true for Vivian. After everything that they had been through, he knew that they were insanely lucky to have taken so little damage. Things could have been a lot worse.
If Gwendolyn Stuart the fourth had gotten her way, that definitely would have been the case.
His Vivian would have been spotting quite a few injuries and Ryan was certain that in order to protect his wife, he too would have been seriously injured. That woman and her machete had not been playing games at all.
But still, even though Ryan was glad that the two of them had made it out relatively unscathed. He was not happy at all with how exhausted he still felt despite having slept the rest of the day away after they had been found. Now it was the morning after the rescue, and Ryan was still feeling a bit tired.
