Lord Nemesio and Jurgen were at a small restaurant eating as they discussed.
Nemesio was already worried about jurgen and after seeing the state Leonidas was in, he couldn't help but imagine what trauma Jurgen must've gone through.
He looked at the young boy with a soft expression and spoke: "So... How was your first mission, how did it go?"
Surprisingly, Jurgen kept eating and did not give off the reaction Nemesio was expecting, instead mumbling with a filled mouth: "it was the most terrific mission I ever went on, I would have sworn never to go on another mission or even quit the corps, but that wasn't what I signed up for" He grabbed the wine beside him and gulped it down. "I kind of had a bit of expectation, but not to that extent. It was simply bad luck on a single first mission and its not enough to waver my spirit"
Nemesio was stunned, he composed himself and praised jurgen inwardly, slowly seeing this young boy in a newer light. Although he could still sense that dreadful hate in him, he was choosing to overlook it and focus on what was present at the time being.
The mood lightened and they talked for some few more hours.
It was evening already and a loud feminine voice was shouting. It was so loud that it reverberated throughout the entire court yard.
Looking from a birds view, the soldiers were like scattered ants scrambling for their life as if their anthill had been crushed by a large human foot.
An imposing figure revealed herself, giving off an overbearing and domineering aura, making people feel a certain cold chill run down their spine.
She wore a tightly fitted shirt that brought out the shape of her sumptuous bosoms. Her skirt was black and long covering her all the way to the ground, it had a little slit that revealed a glowing and alluring thigh.
She was wantonly giving out orders and point my ruthlessly at her subordinates. They all carried various indignant expressions, some were extremely unhappy, some were tired and sighed endlessly, some had gloomy gazes as they grumbled nonstop.
"What are you still all standing there for?! Go and hunt for the wild sun bats!!!" She roared liked a furious tigress, not even caring about their nugatory expressions.
"How cruel can one actually be... Eh, Mrs manly looking woman" A familiar voice mocked as it got closer, it was none other than Hommy. "Sending them to hunt wild sun bats, aren't you cruelly sending them to die?"
Upon seeing Commander Hommy, they immediately felt relieved and turned to him with an expression that unstintingly screamed 'save us!'. Hunting sun bats was definitely above their pay grade... They weren't even getting paid!
Wild sun bats are just as the names sound, they are bats but the opposite, instead they draw energy from sunlight and live in hot places like barren terrain or deserts.
They are extremely large, four times larger than normal humans and very powerful, with thick silver fur to withstand not just the sunlight but also sharp weapons and atacks. They also possess strong bone snapping claw to shred prey easily. Although blind, their other senses are extremely heightened.
Facing these cruel beasts was nothing short of a death sentence!
Hommy glanced around as smoke clouded his vision. He coughed a few times and threw the finished cigar to the ground, stomping it to quench it.
"What right do you have to tell me how to treat my subjects?" Nirvana asked with a cold gaze.
Hommy sighed deeply, rubbing his eyes in exhaustion. He tried to talk and suddenly winced in pain grabbing his right chest area. "This stupid shit again!"
Everyone was staring at him in confusion and nirvana was the one carrying the coldest gaze, not bothered in the least. "You still haven't answered me you miserable weakling"
Hommy wore a dejected look "Oh come on Nirvie, at least show some pity. Don't you feel those sharp stabbing pain in your chest area once in a while?"
"Do like look like a miserable smoke addict?"
"You lie! It has nothing to do with me smoking, its a normal occurrence" Hommy quickly defended.
Nirvana, however was still wearing an indifferent gaze. She folded her arms and asked again, "What are you looking for at my guild Hommy. I never recalled giving you permission to step foot into my domain"
"Ah dont tell me you've not read the letters? As expected of the most hotheaded brawn in the kingdom." Hommy feigned surprise before snickering.
Nirvana was still surprised when her assistant suddenly rushed from behind her and gave her a letter from the higher ups. She had been to busy barking orders to actually go through her normal duties.
After reading, she suddenly threw her head back and laughed. "So of all the commanders to actually pair against me..."
"Yes and yes, its me, not a big deal, is it? You condescending animal" Hommy interrupted her seriously now, his usual facade was gone entirely. He was taunting her.
"What was that?" His words seemed to hit a nerve in nirvana. Her gaze was now cold as ice, staring wickedly at Hommy.
Every once in a while, the higher ups would issue a statement that ordered two commanders to engage in a duel, pairing them randomly. This was a formal way of their own training.
Since there was no one who matched their strength, what better way than to have them battle each other?
The fight could happen anywhere and was not under any supervision, but a great reward is always attached to the winner, thus making them have the burning spirit to actually go through with it.
For a person like Hommy, he would rather give up the fight and not engage at all, no matter how great the reward was, giving her the win. But that wasn't possible, because they still needed to be accessed properly afterwards to ensure they had actually engaged In a serious battle before rewarding the winner.
And knowing Nirvana... Ah, whatever, he wasn't even counting on it in the first place.
Hommy expression was extremely serious and rude on the outside but inwardly he was thinking. "This stupid bitch, hurry and attack, let's get this over with. I might just let you beat me up and get this over with, but I actually have no healing methods, how do I... Eh?!"
His sensed detected danger and before he could react Nirvana was already standing in from if him with a malevolent gaze, a sinister and wide smirk platered on her face as her aura surged wildly and her killing intent raged like a tsunami.
Her stance was lowered as she dragged a devastating punching back.
