The boundary between rationality and madness that Zahid had been trying to maintain had blurred entirely. Funnily enough, the moment he was fully saturated with malignity, he actually felt at peace. He would rather let go of everything than remain in that unbearable hell.
His powers poured out from his body that had lost its drive and engulfed everything in its surroundings, sparing nothing.
As the world around him turned black, he could vaguely hear a faint voice shouting at him, asking if he planned to destroy the whole world.
He let out a sad laugh. He figured that wouldn’t be a bad idea, but he also knew that Aerta would have hated it if he did so. Who was to say that she wouldn’t wake up to try and stop him? Given her strong personality, he assumed the first thing she would do was slap him across the cheek, then shake him by the collar and ask why he did such a thing.
He would happily accept whatever she did to him, just as long as she came back…
