I doubted my ears when I heard what Ethan had said.
‘He beat up the King of Niaakal…?’
I shifted my gaze slowly over to Ethan and Cheryl and stared at them with a look that asked them why they didn’t stop him, but they were both too busy laughing to notice.
“Hirkan is going to become a mercenary with us now!” Cheryl said through a cackle.
“…”
I heard that patience increased with age, but for whatever reason, the kids I looked after were growing more and more impulsive.
When I looked back at Hirkan, he seemed to have realized that he had done something wrong.
I took a closer look at him given that I hadn’t seen him in so long. This was actually the first time we were meeting since everything that happened in Holy City.
