Both of the figures stood in a daze. Hearing those words, one figure asked, "What... is that even possible? How do you even reach there?"
Another figure grinned, "From what I knew about Golden Butterfly, she would go to any limits! If it's for Lucan!"
The golden butterfly glowed brighter when it heard Lucan's name.
As if it agreed to his statement, the other figure frowned, "I get it... but is it even possible in real life?"
The other figure laughed, "Golden Butterfly... do it! We don't have time to explain it to this idiot."
The golden butterfly flew high towards the sky. Both figures stood beside each other, exactly below the golden butterfly.
With a gentle caress, the golden butterfly's trails formed a circle surrounding both of them.
The golden sparks dazzled as if they were stars in the sky.
Both of them felt a strange feeling which gave them warmth. Their hearts dwelled with flames of hope.
The next moment, the space warped around them as it distorted.
One figure screamed in fear, "Damn you! Why is it killing me? It's time to use my powers... t-"
The other figure smacked him unconscious. "Forgive me, go ahead!"
The next moment, both of them were inside the golden butterfly as a message!
It started to fly rapidly towards Earth, with flames of determination blazing in its two beautiful eyes.
The golden trails made the rapid movements look so smooth and elegant, as if it was a dance.
From down below, two other figures watched this scene.
Fate guy sighed, "Huh, so it seems like the reset has occurred? Child guy!"
Child guy frowned, "We were lucky to survive this. Imagine if we were caught; it would be impossible to recover our true selves!"
Fate guy asked, "Then... is Lucan...?"
Child guy replied, "I can't say anything about him. If my guess is correct, this isn't fate's action!"
His eyes glared at the sky, frowning deeply.
Fate guy was stunned, "What! It's not fate's reset?"
Child guy nodded his head, "But I can't tell the details to you; it's too much for you to know about!"
Fate guy persisted, "Please tell me, master! Yes, isn't that how your race calls our friends?"
Child guy sighed, "Huh, you still believe that crap! Fate guy, you're too naive. It was a lie to prevent Lucan from finding out the truth!
Damn... our race entrusted everything to you! Please don't let us down..."
Fate guy grinned, "Hehe, just kidding! You thought I was too naive? I tried manipulating you like Lucan! Hehe, and you fell for it."

Fate guy sat down on the ground and gazed at the night sky, full of stars.
He asked, "I just couldn't believe that we escaped the reset! It's just great, or else we would have lived a life we never intended to live..."
Child guy stood in horror, "That's actually creepy... what if we all have been affected? Then there would be nobody to actually help us recover ourselves!"
Both of them gasped at the scale of the cosmic horror.
Cosmos, who was secretly watching this, smirked, "A few of you escaped the reset! Hehe, so it's like that, I see.
Wait a minute! If that's the case, then that mystery figure is... him! Yes, hahaha, things are just getting more interesting every moment...

Fate guy asked, "So what is this cosmic horror that you are hiding from me? Spit it out! Lucan's in a tough situation.
As his crewmate and friend, I have to do something about this!"
Child guy went silent and shook his head, "No, you mustn't know about this. In fact, none of you should!"
Fate guy frowned, "LUCAN SAVED MY FREAKING LIFE AND GAVE IT A PURPOSE! IF I JUST LAY DOWN HERE IDLE, THEN I WOULD RATHER JUST DIE!"

Fate guy raised his arm and pierced through his own chest, coughing up blood.
He screamed in pain and agony, yet there was a wide smile on his face! It was not forced; it was completely natural.
He laughed crazily, "Lucan... that kid was right! Dying while pursuing one's goals with no regrets is literally a peak feeling!
Hahaha."
Child guy hesitated, "No, don't, don't! You are our final hope, don't die on me, Fate guy!"
Fate guy continued to laugh, "I see... then freaking tell me the stupid thing you are hiding! Or else..."
Fate guy pushed his hand far deeper; this time, he almost choked on his own blood while laughing.
Child guy's eyes turned red, and tears filled them.
He clenched his teeth, "I'm sorry... Fate guy! I still can't tell you... it's not something all of you must know.
It's meant to be unknown. I have already suffered and am now carrying it within myself!"
Seeing Child guy's reaction, Fate guy stopped hurting himself and fell down unconscious.
Child guy healed him with eyes full of tears.

Saying that, he stared with angry eyes at the vast sky, muttering, "Cosmos... you shall one day pay for everything!

Hearing those words, Cosmos smirked, "Hehe, ohh! If that's what you are gonna do...

The golden butterfly landed down and released both of the figures.

The first figure brought out a mysterious tool and used his cosmic energy.
It clustered through the tool, opening a blue-colored portal as he threw in a couple of time essences.
The entire place stood frozen, as if time had been paused.
A blue flash spread throughout the abyss, illuminating the barren landscape in a bright blue halo.
