Ed walked out of the castle; he couldn't stand all those kids.
Upon arriving at the Peace Hotel, breakfast was not yet ready, so Ed had to wait a while.
"My lord, would you like a glass of fresh milk? It definitely won't give you diarrhea. It's a new breakfast that Cage baker just developed."
The waiter introduced the milk to Ed, explaining that there weren't many cows in the territory, and milk production was limited. The price was also relatively high.
"Okay! Give me a cup, and a piece of bread too." Bread and milk is so delicious.
He told Cage to heat the milk to reduce the chances of diarrhea. It seems they experimented many times before confidently saying it wouldn't cause diarrhea.
Ed grabbed some milk and bread and found a place to sit down. Since it was still early, there weren't many people at the Peace Hotel.
"Oh? My Lord, are you here for breakfast so early today?"
Marcus, the butler, spotted Ed drinking milk from afar and quickly ran over.
" Marcus! Come have breakfast with us. You should drink more milk as you get older. Go buy a glass of milk and come sit down. I have something to ask you."
"Yes, my Lord." Marcus turned and went to the windowsill.
Not long after, the butler Marcus sat down with a glass of milk and a piece of bread.
" Marcus, what do you think of the territory now?"
" My Lord, this is wonderful. I never imagined that Grey Castle Territory would become like this, where everyone no longer worries about having enough to eat, and people no longer freeze to death in their houses. Nothing has ever been better than this."
Marcus, the butler, took a sip of milk. If drinking more milk could extend his life by a few years, he would be willing to drink it every day. He also wanted to see what Grey Castle Territory would look like in the future.
" What about Gray-White Eric? How's his studies going?" Ed felt he was running out of people to manage his territory.
" My Lord, Gray-White is still quite nice. The other day Adelaide said you needed to move some things to the Shipyard, and Gray-White went there to register."
"Yes, that's right. The area around Red Iron Village is too crowded. The brick factory and ceramic workshop shouldn't be here. After they move over there, we can set up a new village there. How about we call it Novice Village?"
" My Lord, the name isn't that important, but it's not bad to have such a unique name. The problem is that there's no road over there; we need to transport people and goods back by ship."
Actually, it's possible to build a road to get around the territory from the south, but we definitely don't have that capability right now, so we can only use a boat.
"No problem, Marcus. The docks and roads are all finished now, aren't they? We'll just have to build more ships later, since they're not far apart anyway."
Ed didn't think these were problems. What worried him more was who would manage Novice Village in the future, as there was a severe shortage of talent in the territory.

" My Lord, Chief Smith said the other day that there is a very good woman in their Red Iron Village named Ding Xiang. She works just as well as men and is very kind. The only regret is that she is illiterate."
Marcus suddenly remembered what Chief Smith had said to him when he went to Red Iron Village that day.
"Oh, really? Not being able to read isn't a big problem. As long as she's smart enough, she'll learn quickly. Isn't Alice from Windmill Village teaching her? You can go to Red Iron Village when you have time. If possible, let her become the village chief of Novice Village."
