With the Gypsum Mine Eric brought back, the territory will now have no shortage of Gypsum, so we can focus on construction and production without worry.
To Ed's surprise, while Gypsum no longer lacked manpower, it was now short-handed. The territory needed extensive construction, and with a population of less than a thousand, there was simply no one available.
However, he needed to hurry up and build the hotel he planned; he could put other less important things on hold for now. He had a premonition that many people from the west would come to the territory to trade in the near future.
"It's dead, it's dead, it's dead!" Ed hummed happily that day. He stood on a large open space at the entrance of Taoyuan Village. The toilets there had already been built, and now the houses needed for the Market were under construction.
All the houses were built on the western side of Peach Road, effectively separating the Market from the territory. After the construction was completed, anyone from the territory who wanted to go to the Market would have to pass through the opening on Peach Road, unless they could scale the walls.
Ed did this to protect everyone's safety and prevent illegal immigration, since the city gates can't stop everyone coming in the future.
"Hehe." Ed chuckled. Was he overthinking things? He didn't even have chestnuts or donuts here, but he had plenty of northwest wind.
" Lord Ed, what are you laughing at?" Carly didn't actually want to come, but she was a little bored today, so she came along.
But now she feels it was a terrible decision; Lord Ed had been humming "Home is here" the whole way.
She was incredibly annoyed by this repetitive sound. It had finally stopped, but then it started laughing for no reason, which startled her.
Ed glanced at Carly, who looked utterly dejected. " Carly, you don't seem very happy. You weren't like this when we came out of the castle. With such beautiful weather, we should all be in a good mood."
"Yes, some people and things always make you feel bad for no reason. I still think I should study Cuisine with Sister Adelaide."
"Who? Could it be Roderick from earlier? Yes, he wouldn't listen to us when we asked him to fix the same sinks in the women's restroom as in the men's. It's really frustrating." Ed was completely oblivious to his own shortcomings.
Carly wanted to build urinals in the women's restroom before, but he thought it was useless. Carly insisted on building them, so he thought, "Okay, then we'll build them!" But the women's restroom has never been built yet, mainly because Roderick thinks the sinks are too low and it's inconvenient to wash hands.
Ed was speechless. It's too low to wash hands. Why don't you build it higher? Wouldn't that make washing hands much easier?
He thought that even if the building were higher, there would still be no water, and it would still be inconvenient to wash hands, so it would be better not to build it at all.
As for the sink in the toilet, Carly had completely forgotten about it. If Lord Ed hadn't mentioned it earlier, she wouldn't have remembered it at all.

Ed looked at her. Who was that? Could it be him? He was so handsome and dashing; he must be a very popular person, right?
He looked up and saw that it was the cawing of crows in the sky that was making him feel uncomfortable.
" Carly, is it the cawing of the crows in the sky that's making you feel bad? Don't worry, look up at them. They're actually very smart and very cute."
Carly didn't believe Ed's nonsense. Black crows? Well, I'd like to see what makes them cute.
"Smack!"
A clump of bird droppings landed right on her forehead.
"ah!"
Carly was even more upset now, and she screamed as she ran toward the castle.
