It should be okay now! So much time has passed. Ed isn't entirely sure either, but he should still go check!
"Andrew, come with me to see some good stuff. I'll give you some good stuff."
Inside the house in the castle where soap is dried in the shade.
The room smelled wonderful, like a mixture of various flower scents, which surprised the people who had just entered.
Andrew didn't know what those little squares were or why they smelled so good.
"My lord, why do these things smell so good?"
Ed picked up a few bars of soap and smelled them carefully; the light fragrance was quite pleasant. The room smelled so strong mainly because there were so many soaps stored together.
"Andrew, these are soaps. I made them by imitation. They can clean clothes and the body, especially the hands used for blacksmithing and mining. Why don't you take some and see if they work?"
Ed handed Andrew several bars of soap in various scents. There was a stream near the mine, making it convenient for the miners to wash themselves.
"Thank you, my lord." Andrew took the soap and left; he had many other things to attend to.
Adelaide and Carly had been repeatedly smelling various soaps; they loved the scent. Especially after hearing that soap could clean not only clothes but also the body.
Their smiles never faded; the thought of the fragrant aroma filling the air every day made them both unable to stop laughing out loud.
"hehe!"
"Stop laughing. We need to move these soaps to the lobby to pack them up; it's too dark in here."
"Oh~"
The two responded, and the three of them began carrying the soap into the castle hall.
Ed thought a lot about how to package his soap. Boxes! Bags! Making these things was very troublesome. Right now, he had nowhere to sell his soap, so there was no point in making fancy packaging. He would deal with it later when he could sell it to those noble gentlemen.
So Ed just wrapped it up casually with paper; he wouldn't have bothered with packaging it at all if it weren't for the possibility of future transport.
"You two do it like this, fold this corner over, no, Carly, it should be like this, not like what you think. Yes, like this, and then put a little fish glue on the seal." Ed was patiently teaching the two girls how to package soap, but for some reason, Carly, while smart, was very clumsy with her hands, and it took her several attempts to barely learn how to package it.
"Lord Ed, you're making such a simple thing so complicated. You really don't know how to teach."
After barely managing to learn it, Carly even started to complain about her teacher.
Ed really didn't want to argue with Carly. Looking at her smug expression, Ed decided to teach her a lesson later with his "Meteorite's Pancake-Splitting Technique".
After the three of them worked tirelessly, all the soaps were packaged. The next step was to distribute the soaps.
Ed looked at the two people who were still smelling their hands and said, "I don't plan to sell this soap. Instead, I'll use it as a sample for everyone to try and see if it works. Since the three of us made the soap together, we'll split it equally among the three of us. Do you have any objections?"
"No," they both said in unison, neither of them having any objections.
"Okay, I'll start dividing it now. After that, you can give it to whomever you want."
So Ed started dividing the soap:
"Carly, one for me; Adelaide, one for me; Carly, one for me; Adelaide, one for me..."
"Wait, wait, Lord Ed, why does your pile of soap look like there's more of it?"
Carly was the first to notice the problem. She looked at her soap pile, then at Ed's soap pile, and then at Adelaide's soap pile.
"Carly, mine is a bit messy. Look at yours, they're all neatly arranged."
Ed tried his best to appear normal so that she wouldn't suspect anything.
Perhaps Ed's words had an effect, because Carly remained silent for the time being, though she was still looking at Ed's pile of soap, seemingly deep in thought.
Ed continued distributing the soap.
"No, Lord Ed, let me arrange them neatly for you."
