Adelaide left Chenghua Avenue and headed to the cedar tree's house in Xia Taoyuan Village.
Although Adelaide has left, her legend lives on there.
"You know what? Last summer, my sister in Adelaide gave me a glass of iced sweet water." A little boy smacked his lips; that iced sweet water from that summer would stay with him for a lifetime.
"I know, I know. My father said that iced sweet water is very precious, just like this windmill. It's very difficult to make. I've already asked my father, and this paper is very precious," another child said, squeezing the windmill in his hand tightly after he finished speaking.
Mercedes looked at Katie and handed her the windmill. "Katie, what did you eat just now? Here, you can play with this windmill for a while."
Katie happily accepted the windmill. "Brother Mercedes, this is something really delicious. I don't know what it is, but you can have this." The little girl Katie took out a poop biscuit and handed it to Mercedes.
Mercedes took the biscuit and ate it. He didn't know how Katie could bear to give him this.
"Katie, you can have that windmill."
"Really? Brother Mercedes!" Katie danced with joy, then lifted the windmill above her head and slowly ran away into the distance.
A gentle breeze stirred her colorful windmill, lifted her golden hair, blew across her skirt, and carried away her worries.
Xia Taoyuan Village
As soon as Adelaide stepped into the fir tree's house, a burst of cheers startled her.
"Oh! Sister Adelaide, you've finally arrived." The three children were already waiting in the hall.
It seems that Elm Knot's problem isn't too serious; he's already able to sit in the hall with some help.
"Miss Adelaide, thank you so much." Iris stood to the side, somewhat helpless.
"It's alright, Aunt Iris. I already agreed to it yesterday. You go ahead and do what you need to do. I'll talk to them."
"Yes, Miss Adelaide." Iris went outside.
Adelaide took out the remaining cookies and each person took one. The cedar family had stools but no long table, and nowadays tables are impossible to buy.
"Sister Adelaide, what's this delicious thing called?" The little boy, Oak Bucket, ate slowly because he had eaten too quickly yesterday and hadn't been able to fully appreciate the flavors. Today, he wanted to savor it slowly, to let the good things linger a little longer.
"This is called a cookie, and it was made by Lord Ed!" Adelaide watched as she slowly savored the oak barrel. Its round and chubby shape was so cute that Adelaide couldn't resist wanting to pinch it a couple of times.
"Wow! Lord, you're amazing! You can even cook such delicious food. My father said you're a very kind and generous lord. We should all thank you, Lord." Oak Barrel spoke very clearly and fluently, it seems he's talked about this a lot at home.
Adelaide smiled at the oak barrel. "What do you think?"
"I think my father is right."
"Hehe!" Adelaide chuckled softly, then handed each person another cookie.
Cedar branch is a quiet child who rarely speaks. Perhaps he plans to grow up to be a quiet, handsome young man.
"Elm-Bumper, your father came to see you yesterday, didn't he?" Adelaide looked at his feet, which were now wearing new shoes.
"Yes, Sister Adelaide, look at the shoes Father bought me. But his eyesight isn't very good, so they're a bit big." Elm-Bug showed Adelaide his new shoes while eating a biscuit.
"Hehe!" Adelaide chuckled softly again.
"Very good. Although it's a little big, your feet grow very fast. My sister Adelaide used to go barefoot."
"Okay, I understand." Elm-wood Gecko lowered his head and wiped the surface of his shoe with his hand.
Adelaide looked at the hunched-over Elmwood and said, "I'm leaving now. These cookies are for you. Eat them slowly, they're very precious." Mainly because the sugar was precious.
On the way back
"Carly, did you tell your father you brought honey?"
"Sister Adelaide, I forgot to mention it." Carly had forgotten to say it because her father had left in such a hurry that day.
"What should we do? We don't have much honey left."
"Sister Adelaide, we can go find it ourselves."
