Kevin's POV.
My palace room echoed with emptiness as I paced in a circle at the center of the room, hands tightened over my chest and my head slightly bowed downwards.
It had been more than weeks since Elvira told me her requests, what actually happened to her, the things she wanted.
How could I have missed this? How could I have chosen to ignore the psychotic gleam in her eyes?
I barely got enough sleep all through the night. My nights were filled with the thoughts of our evening in the guest room.
She walked up on me with a request to keep me in power if I granted her what she wanted. I thought she wanted power, position, fame. That was what they all requested but not Elvira.
"I need humans," she said, a mysterious smirk parting her lips.
My jaws dropped to the floor as I moved a step back, almost crashing into a table.
"That's ridiculous." I whispered.
