Lucien woke up when the sky was not yet fully bright. His back and waist ached, his throat was parched, and his thighs were as sore as if he had spent all of yesterday climbing a mountain.
He was so battered that even turning over took effort, yet the other side of the bed was already empty and cold, proving that the person sleeping there had gotten up early.
Lucien buried his face in the pillow and let out a groan.

"Come here."
[What are you going to do?] It instinctively backed away by half a meter.
"Let me ask you." Lucien propped himself up, pulling the blanket around his body, his voice completely hoarse. "My ears, what did you add to them?"

"I clicked agree for the mission, not for you to modify my body!"
