Asher Keating gently patted her belly a few more times, and the little one inside began to kick up a storm, moving this way and that. Leah Sinclair let out a soft hiss of discomfort. Asher didn't dare to touch her belly again. Once the baby settled down, he took Leah's hand and led her toward the car.
Once they were in the car, Asher Keating asked, "Has he been acting up lately?"
"Hmph. He's definitely a night owl. He's up in the middle of the night, every night, just tumbling around in there."
Leah Sinclair poked her own belly in annoyance. The little one, as if protesting his mother's complaints, immediately did a somersault inside. Leah yelped, and Asher Keating quickly placed a hand on her stomach.
"Don't kick your mother. Keep it up and I'll deal with you when you're out."
