Early the next morning.
Just as the sky was beginning to brighten, Liu Yong, the Vice General Manager of Pan Cheng Group, arrived at the company by car.
Liu Yong drove into the company complex, ignoring the workers. A security guard greeted him, "Good morning, President Liu!"
Liu Yong slowed his car to a brief stop. "Was everything all right at the company last night?"
The security guard reported, "No, President Liu. Nothing happened yesterday. Everything was normal."
"Good."
He parked in the parking garage, entered the group's skyscraper, and took the elevator upstairs. Along the way, employees greeted him.
Arriving at his office on the seventh floor, he unlocked the door with his key.
He was humming a tune, about to sit down at his computer, when he suddenly noticed the door to his office safe had been forced open. The contracts inside were gone!
"Huh?"
Liu Yong stood there dumbfounded, his eyes wide. He even thought he was seeing things.
