Let's set aside the Yellow Turban front for now.
After conquering the first floor of the Pre-Qin Secret Realm and reaping immense benefits, Xiao Jing first returned to Barren Mountain Village to give Guo Yun his instructions.
He placed special emphasis on the 'high-level tavern'. Only after Guo Yun pounded his chest and guaranteed it would be 'built as soon as possible' was Xiao Jing finally satisfied.
For one, the completion of the high-level tavern would very likely fulfill the conditions for Barren Mountain Village to upgrade into a town.
For another, he would be counting on this high-level tavern to attract a great deal of talent for him in the future...
The further his domain developed, the more keenly Xiao Jing felt the lack of talent.
He lacked all sorts of people, from military talents like martial generals and civil administrators to civilian professionals like horse breeders, blacksmiths, tailors, and carpenters.
