Watching the Prison Guard hurry off, Xiao Jing shook his head.
Truth be told, he was somewhat interested in the "great treasure" the player had mentioned, but not by much.
After all, how capable could a player be if they'd been reduced to getting captured by one of his patrolmen and thrown into 'prison'? What kind of great treasure could they possibly possess?
'Still, there's no harm in meeting this player.'
The Prison Guard hurried away, quickly leaving the Town Lord's manor. The moment he was outside, sweat started pouring down his face.
'What rotten luck! This money is so damn hard to earn. The Town Lord's presence is getting heavier and heavier!'
The Prison Guard wiped away his sweat, grumbling to himself. He might have appeared calm and composed in front of Xiao Jing, but only he knew the immense pressure he had been under.
'I shouldn't have taken that two silver if I'd known. That was terrifying...'
The Prison Guard shook his head, a look of regret on his face.
