BOOM—
BOOM—
BOOM—
Like mallets striking giant war drums, flashes of golden light flickered over the building's dome. Each whistling cannonball transformed into a huge rosebud, shattering on impact with the dome and scattering down like a rain of petals.
The falling petals blanketed the dome and the area around the building before being swept up by the wind and scattered across the entire island.
This exquisitely beautiful scene left even the sailors firing the cannons in a daze.
"Captain... this... this isn't working at all..." Old Bill said, his voice trembling.
He could feel the power of the cannons; they definitely possessed world-shattering might.
But the greater the cannons' power, the more helpless they seemed before the heavenly island.
The shells, capable of tearing mountains apart, were simply turning into giant rosebuds. It was nothing short of a miracle.
