In the final days, as the lands of human civilization were gradually submerged by the sea and devoured by tsunamis, the Salvation Army had already abandoned its fight against the World Beasts, turning instead to the construction of aquatic shelters.
All of humanity fell into utter despair.
The World Beasts didn't even need to exterminate them. As the waters rose, humanity was like ants in an anthill, drowned one by one.
The surviving humans began a great exodus, all fleeing toward the world's highest mountain ranges and plateaus.
During this time, brutal slaughters broke out over the right to survive.
The Salvation Army fought to maintain the last vestiges of order, doing its utmost to get the remaining humans to the mountaintops and plateaus.
Finally, the sea level stopped rising. The survivors secretly rejoiced, and were even ecstatic to discover they could use these mountains and plateaus as new continents to rebuild their civilization.
