As he said this, Lionel Langley stood up.
He planted both hands on the table and leaned toward Seraphina Quinn, his voice laced with a vicious edge.
"My legal wife was hurt this badly by her. Do you really think I'll let her off with just a few years in prison?"
Seraphina Quinn felt an indescribable hostility radiating from Lionel Langley. It was a murderous aura, sharp enough to pierce a person's heart in an instant.
After leaving her with those words, Lionel Langley turned and walked away.
He paused for a moment at the door, his words meant for Seraphina Quinn.
"Give her a message for me. Tell her I'm coming to Quinn Manor tonight to pick her up and give her a resolution."
He paused. "If she isn't satisfied, I'll agree to her request for a divorce."
An hour later, Seraphina Quinn relayed Lionel Langley's message to Claire Sterling.
"Claire, Lionel Langley said he's coming to Quinn Manor tonight to pick you up."
