The captain ignored the man and fought his way to the center of the crowd.
But when he finally broke through, he was dumbfounded.
'Where were the cosplaying kids?'
'Why isn't there a single one here?'
Before him stood a short young woman, smiling as she took photos and signed autographs for a long line of people.
The young woman looked adorable and was full of energy. Despite posing for photos with so many people, she didn't show the slightest hint of annoyance.
The captain immediately realized this must be the "Miss Starling" the crowd had been shouting for.
'Never heard of her.'
In his experience, the only people who drew crowds like this were usually minor celebrities.
Famous, but not *that* famous.
If she were truly famous, she wouldn't just be blocking the cinema entrance—the entire street's traffic would be at a standstill.
