The other officer next to him chided disapprovingly, "Did you forget again? Low-yield rounds are enough for a Snake Chicken Beast. Why waste a medium-yield one?"
Medium-yield?
Lavin glanced at the miserable state of the Snake Chicken Beast. 'That was just a medium-yield round?'
'What would a high-yield round do?'
"Are you okay?" The officer who had fired walked over, concerned. Lavin looked dazed, and the officer assumed the gunshot had startled him.
But Lavin's attention wasn't on himself at all. The first words out of his mouth were, "Are you a Mage?"
