"Did you get everything?" Miss Ashworth asked, checking through the items in the bags while Sharon Forrest helped.
Jasper Ashworth gulped down some water and collapsed onto the sofa in exhaustion. "We bought everything on the list."
'This is killing me. Carrying two boxes of fireworks and firecrackers all the way from the parking lot... they were unbelievably heavy.'
"Oh, you bought fireworks and firecrackers too!" Sharon Forrest exclaimed in surprise as she opened a box and saw it was filled to the brim with them.
"Mom, we plan on setting them off in the yard on New Year's Eve," Cecilia Ashworth replied, holding a pile of her own clothes.
After finishing her count, Miss Ashworth stood up. "Is that all you bought?"
"Of course! We also ordered decorative lanterns and paper-cut window decorations. They'll be delivered soon."
