Jiuyou's farewell banquet ended just like that.
Ruan Fu and An Bei walked shoulder to shoulder out of Lu'er's cave. As soon as they stepped over the threshold, they saw Jiuyou standing to the side, clearly having waited for a long time. His silhouette was stretched long by the setting sun, and his gaze landed squarely on Ruan Fu, as if he were silently waiting for something.
An Bei's face instantly turned cold, the gentleness in his eyes replaced by a layer of frost. His gaze swept over Jiuyou's face before finally landing on Ruan Fu. "What is he doing here?" he asked in a cold, deep voice.
"Um..." Ruan Fu lowered her head, her hands twisting together as her voice trembled slightly. "Is there a possibility that he's waiting for me?"
"Oh?" An Bei sneered and leaned down slightly, a strange light flickering in his deep blue eyes. His large hand grabbed the back of her neck, the slightly cool touch making Ruan Fu shiver. He continued in a low voice, "Say that again?"
