Lu Chao's Profound Mysterious Spear tore through everything in its path like a hot knife through butter. Just like that, it effortlessly pierced through Yu Hui, the third disciple of the Thunderbolt Sect, as if he were made of paper.
The scene fell deathly silent. Even Lu Chao wore an expression of utter disbelief.
Finally, a wave of pain washed over Yu Hui, and he was the first to react.
With a SPURT, he coughed up a mouthful of blood. He stared blankly down at the Profound Mysterious Spear that had run him through, then slowly raised his head to look at Lu Chao, his face a mask of disbelief. "No... impossible..."
With that, his head lolled to the side, and it was unclear if he was dead or alive.
Around the temporary arena, the deathly silence continued. Everyone's jaw was hanging open.
Slowly, a series of THUDS began to sound out—the sound of stools toppling over, the sound of people from the fourteen sects of Rising Moon City jumping to their feet.
