The next morning, Zoe Rhodes's stomach felt much better when she woke up.
She washed up early and waited downstairs.
When Nathan Bennett came downstairs, he saw her dozing off in the living room.
Hearing his footsteps, she quickly straightened up and greeted him, "Mr. Bennett, good morning!"
She hadn't slept well, but she had forced herself to sit here anyway.
"Why are you up so early?" Nathan Bennett asked. "Are you still feeling unwell?"
Zoe Rhodes shook her head, though it wasn't the truth.
"I'm fine now."
"Mr. Bennett, when can we leave?"
Only then did Nathan Bennett remember his promise to take her to the Kingsley's to see Ethan Rhodes today.
He smiled, avoiding the question. "Have you had breakfast?"
Zoe Rhodes shook her head.
"Let's eat something first. It's still early, so there's no rush."
