"Evelyn Grant, I wanted you. That was the only thing on my mind that day! Call me despicable, call me a schemer, I don't care—I just wanted to make you my woman! I was sick of you being with my brother. I wanted to make it so you couldn't go back to him."
Ryan Sterling knew Evelyn Grant's character. If she slept with him, there was no way she could ever get back together with Julian Sterling.
At the time, he really hadn't considered anything else. He hadn't wanted to.
As for that, he would accept whatever judgment she passed on him.
"So you knew that once I was taken away, I would be detained."
"...Yes."
After hearing that, Evelyn Grant didn't want to ask anything else.
There was no need.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, composing herself for a long moment before finally concluding the conversation.
"Regardless, I am grateful you came forward with that evidence to save me. Without you, it would have been incredibly difficult for me to get out of that mess."
