The message vanished without a trace. He sent it, but no one replied.
Ryan Sterling switched to calling her instead.
Three times, five times.
Still no answer.
He then tried calling Julian Sterling, but the result was the same.
"Book me a flight back home. Immediately."
His secretary froze. "Mr. Sterling, your itinerary—"
"I need to go home now! Do you not understand?!"
Ryan Sterling shot him a vicious glare.
The secretary didn't dare say another word and just nodded quickly. "Understood. I'll book it right away."
Just as he left, Ryan Sterling, refusing to give up, dialed Evelyn Grant's number again.
Surprisingly, someone picked up this time.
But it wasn't Evelyn Grant.
"Ryan, you've been calling so many times. Is something wrong?"
"…Where's Evelyn Grant?"
"She's resting."
Ryan Sterling slammed a fist on his office desk, shaking the computer monitor.
"What did you do to her?! Julian Sterling, don't force me to forget that we're brothers!"
