Downstairs, Ning Jie felt a bit embarrassed. "Sister Yue, why did you buy so much stuff? I'm doing fine here. You don't need to worry about me."
Ning Yue shoved the bags into his hands. "My mom was worried, so she asked me to come take a look. Take these up first. Let's grab a bite to eat later."
Ning Jie scratched his head, still feeling somewhat abashed. Afraid of keeping his cousin waiting, he grabbed the bags and hurried upstairs.
As soon as he entered his dorm room, his roommates swarmed him. "Show us what good stuff you got!"
Not one to be stingy, Ning Jie set the bags on his desk. "Eat up. Take your pick."
"You're amazing, Ning Jie. Your girlfriend is absolutely gorgeous."
