But he was completely unprepared for a silent whisper that came from her face under his chin next second.
He went completely still for a solid two seconds.
This was the same man who had the mental processing speed of ten supersonic Jets.
" Huh?" He asked, completely flabbergasted thinking he heard wrong.
Which both of them know was technically impossible.
Which only meant she said what he heard.
" Huh?" She looked at him like an innocent puppy who never said anything wrong.
" Akira. Sweetheart. What did you just say right now?" Keigo asked trying to keep his calm desperately hoping he heard wrong or she was just joking.
He pulled her face slightly out of his neck and held her face and forced her to look into his eyes.
" Hehehe....uh...." Akira fumbled as she realised something.
It was a terrible descision to tell him. But it was not like he would scold her.
So she just giggled like the menace she was.
" Don't hehehe me. You are not going to infiltrate villains. " Keigo said firmly.
" I love you" Akira immediately doubled down hugging him tightly sensing it's too dangerous to be anywhere else at that moment.
Keigo was mad. He was genuinely mad.
' Oh no. Oh no. Oh nononononononnonooo. He's mad. He's definitely mad. If looks could kill, i would be ash.Why the fuck does he look scarier than the fucking Nomu!?!?? Brother!!! Save me!!! Oh wait! You're the scary one! Doesn't fucking matter. He melts to hugs. He would definitely let this go if I cling long enough. ' She clinged to him harder as he tried to pry her off.
" Akira Anzai. Get off right now. And we need to talk. " Keigo said firmly as he tried to pry her off without using too much force incase he might hurt her.
Alas, she knew she was in the safest place at the moment and made no move to make a sound or unglue herself from him.
She had survival instincts.
" Get off. "
.....
" Akira. I'm warning you. "

" I am not letting you go. Now get off. We need to talk about this. "

At this point, he gave up trying to pry her off and just let her cling to him .
" Akira, get off. "

A few minutes passed in the stand off. Akira clung to him like he was her lifeline.
Girl knew it was coming. So she fully prepared for this situation. Cling him until he calmed down and then talk.
" Akira. This is not a joke. Now get off of me and look at me."
She just buried her face in his neck harder and clinged tighter.
It was not like he would scold her or hit her. Worse. He would be concerned and disappointed and awfully self sacrificial.
As she tried to wait him out on the stalemate, she managed to fall asleep like that in his arms.
In her defence, she was mentally exhausted for the day. And played a little too much in the sky. So she was drowsy.
And he wrapped his arms and wings around her. It was warm and comfortable. And incredibly safe.
So she just drifted to dreamworld still clinging to him like a Koala.
Keigo noticed it almost immediately.
He did not know whether to be happy or mad or confused.
Why was she like that? But he could not resist anymore when she fell asleep in his arms like that.
They could talk tomorrow. She was exhausted and clearly needed rest. And he missed her. There was no point trying to grill her out now.
But she won't be given this benefit the next day. Keigo hugged her back tightly as he kissed her forehead.
She was exhausting to look after. But that's his little sister. It doesn't matter if she was mentally older than him.
She would always be the little ten year old he picked up that day.
When did she grow so tall again? She was almost as tall as him. When did that happen?
Wasn't she just past his stomach just a few months ago? He did not like the way she grew up so fast.
