Everyone inside the church was swallowed by flames instantly, their cries of shock, despair, and outrage silenced the moment fire filled their mouths, burning everything down to ash.
Those outside only felt the shockwave. But a Tier Four blast carried enough heat to kill weaker commoners outright, or badly wound others, leaving them half-dead or unconscious.
The entire city descended into chaos within seconds. Blowing up the very church of the god the whole kingdom worshipped was blasphemy of the highest order.
Some people could barely process what was happening, sprinting away with everything they had.
Carriages stopped mid-route, drivers abandoning them entirely before joining the mass exodus. A few drivers, though, tried pushing their carriages straight through the crowd.
