Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Night Everything Fell Apart

The night everything fell apart, I was sitting on the cold living room floor, holding my sleeping son in my arms.

The house was quiet—too quiet.

No laughter. No warmth. Just silence… and the sound of my own heartbeat, heavy and suffocating.

He stood by the door, suitcase in hand.

"I can't do this anymore," he said, his voice flat, almost emotionless.

I looked up at him, my fingers tightening around my child's tiny body.

"Do what?" I asked, though deep down, I already knew the answer.

"This life," he replied. "You… this family… it's too much."

Two words shattered something inside me.

"I've given everything," I whispered. "I left my job. I stayed home. I took care of our child… of you."

He let out a cold laugh.

"And what did you become? You're nothing now. Just someone who stays at home all day."

Nothing.

I felt my chest tighten, but no tears came out. Not yet.

Because at that moment, something else was growing inside me—

not sadness, not despair… but something stronger.

A quiet, burning anger.

He turned and walked out without looking back.

The door closed.

And just like that… my marriage ended.

That night, I didn't cry.

I held my son close, staring into the darkness.

And then, slowly, I made a decision.

If the world thought I was nothing…

then I would prove them wrong.

For my child.

For myself.

For the life that was taken from me.

Chapter 2: Picking Up the Pieces

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window, but it didn't feel warm.

It felt like a reminder: life was different now.
