Seeing that she had woken up, Christopher hurried forward to hold her hand.
"Janice, are you okay?"
He squatted down and came close to her, his deep eyes full of unease.
Janice lay there, looking at him quietly, "I'm fine, but you... Why are your eyes red?"
Only then did Christopher realize that he had lost control of his emotions. He quickly wiped his eyes and said, "The wind blew into my eyes."
"Is that so?"
Janice saw through it but didn't point it out.
She knew that he must be very anxious outside.
"Where are the babies?" she asked.
"They're outside," Christopher replied.
"What do you think? Are they cute?"
Janice couldn't help smiling.
Christopher's eyes darkened.
"I... haven't seen them yet."
"How could you be like this?"
Janice grumbled as she frowned. "I had a hard time giving birth to babies. How could you not even look at them? Don't you like them?"
