Mrs. Taylor's sudden remark frightened James. He turned to look at Yvonne, who was sitting beside him.
Obviously, she was frightened by Mrs. Taylor's outburst as well.
James was a little embarrassed.
Even though he was an adult, his mother was still scolding him like a child in front of his wife.
He felt so ashamed.
"Mom, that's not what I meant."
James gave Mrs. Taylor a meaningful look.
Mrs. Taylor ignored him and even glared at him.
James looked helpless.
She turned to look at Yvonne and her gaze turned gentle. "Yvonne, don't listen to James. I'm very open-minded. Don't worry. As long as you are willing to come back and live here, I promise that I won't interfere in your lives."
Mrs. Taylor patted her chest and gave her promise.
Yvonne replied awkwardly, "I know."
She nodded.
"Then what do you think?"
