Chapter 25 - Episode 25: The Moment He Breaks Everything

The silence after Kabir's words felt unreal.

Even Advik Rana didn't speak for a moment.

Because what Kabir Rajvansh just said… wasn't strategy.

It wasn't bluff.

It was surrender to something deeper.

Meera Verma stood frozen behind Kabir, her hand still in his grip.

She could feel it.

His heartbeat.

Fast.

Controlled.

But not calm.

Never calm anymore.

Advik finally smiled faintly.

"So it's true."

A pause.

"You did choose her."

Kabir's eyes darkened instantly.

"I didn't choose anything."

A pause.

"I ended the choice."

Meera looked up at him, confused.

"Kabir…"

But he didn't turn yet.

His focus stayed locked on Advik.

Advik stepped closer slowly.

"You think that changes anything?"

A pause.

"You're still the same man who built everything on blood and control."

Kabir's voice dropped lower.

"And you're still the man I should've killed years ago."

That sentence hit like a blade.

The air tightened instantly.

Meera felt it.

This wasn't just revenge.

This was history finally colliding with the present.

Advik tilted his head.

"You won't kill me."

A pause.

"Not in front of her."

Kabir went still.

Meera felt his grip tighten slightly.

Not fear.

Control slipping.

Advik continued softly,

"Because if she sees what you really are…"

A pause.

"…she won't stay."

That sentence landed too deep.

Meera's breath hitched.

Kabir finally turned his head slightly toward her.

Just enough to see her.

Just enough to feel her reaction.

And for a second…

he looked human again.

Not mafia.

Not boss.

Just a man afraid of being seen completely.

Meera whispered,

"Kabir… don't listen to him."

Advik smiled.

"She already knows part of it."

A pause.

"Doesn't she?"

Silence.

Kabir let out a slow breath.

Then released Meera's hand.

Just slightly.

Not letting go.

But creating space.

That small movement hurt more than anything.

Meera felt it instantly.

"Kabir?" she said softly.

He finally spoke without looking away from Advik.

"You wanted truth."

A pause.

"So here it is."

His voice hardened.

"I am not someone who survives without destroying."

A pause.

"And everyone close to me becomes a target."

Meera shook her head slightly.

"That's not what I asked…"

Kabir continued anyway.

"But you…"

A pause.

"…you became the only thing I refused to destroy."

Advik's eyes narrowed.

"There it is."

A pause.

"Your weakness."

Kabir moved in an instant.

But stopped himself halfway.

Barely.

Controlled.

Barely human.

Meera felt it.

That restraint.

That war inside him.

Kabir spoke slowly.

"If you came here to test me…"

A pause.

"…you already lost."

Advik's smile faded.

"Did I?"

Suddenly—

A loud explosion echoed outside again.

But this time… closer.

Too close.

Kabir's men shouted from outside.

"Boss! They breached the perimeter again!"

Kabir's expression changed instantly.

The situation was collapsing.

Fast.

Advik stepped back slightly.

"This is bigger than you think," he said calmly.

A pause.

"And she is at the center of it."

Kabir turned fully toward him now.

Cold.

Final.

"Say her name again…"

A pause.

"…and I end you here."

Meera's breath trembled.

She had never seen him like this.

Not fully.

Not unleashed.

Advik looked at Meera one last time.

Then said quietly—

"You didn't save her."

A pause.

"You just brought her closer to the fire."

And then—

He disappeared into the smoke outside.

Gone again.

Like a ghost that always returns when destruction is near.

Silence fell.

Meera slowly looked up at Kabir.

"Is it true?" she asked softly.

A pause.

"Am I just… a problem in your world?"

Kabir didn't answer immediately.

For the first time…

he looked exhausted.

Not physically.

Emotionally.

Then he said quietly,

"You are the only problem I refuse to solve."

Meera's eyes softened.

But her fear didn't leave.

Kabir finally turned toward her fully.

This time… no distance.

Only truth.

"And that," he said,

"…is exactly why they will keep coming."

Outside, the war continued.

But inside that broken house…

something irreversible had already begun.

Because Kabir Rajvansh had finally stopped pretending.

And Meera Verma had finally stopped being just a girl in danger.

She had become the center of a war that would not end… until one of them broke completely.

To be continued… 💔
