At least… that's what everyone made me believe.
In school, I was always the girl sitting in the last bench — quiet, invisible, and forgotten. No one talked to me unless they needed something. No one cared if I was there… or not.
"Why are you even here?"
Those words still echoed in my ears.
My name is Anaya. And in a world full of beautiful, rich, and confident girls… I was nothing.
Or maybe… that's what they thought.
That day changed everything.
It was raining heavily. I was walking home alone, holding my torn bag, trying to protect my books from getting wet. My shoes were broken, my clothes were cheap, and my life… well, it was even worse.
Suddenly, a black luxury car stopped right in front of me.
I froze.
The door slowly opened.
A man stepped out.
Tall. Handsome. Powerful.
His eyes locked onto mine — sharp and unreadable.
"Get in," he said coldly.
I was shocked. "W-What?"
"I don't repeat myself."
My heart started beating fast. Why would someone like him talk to someone like me?
"I think you're mistaken…" I whispered.
But then he stepped closer.
Very close.
"So you're Anaya," he said.
My eyes widened.
"How do you know my name?"
A faint smirk appeared on his face.
"I know everything about you."
At that moment… I realized something was terribly wrong.
Who was he?
And why did he want me?
Before I could react, he grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the car.
"Let me go!" I shouted.
But he didn't listen.
"You don't have a choice anymore," he said.
The rain poured harder.
My world… was about to change forever.
