Chapter 21 - Episode 4: The Game of Mind Begins

The mansion was under lockdown.

Sirens outside.

Smoke fading.

Kabir stood at the main entrance.

Gun in hand.

Eyes sharp.

Anaya stood just behind him.

Calm… but alert.

And then—

The world slowed.

A black car stopped at the gate.

Slowly.

Intentionally.

A man stepped out.

Aarav Sinha.

No rush.

No fear.

Just control.

He smiled as he looked at Kabir.

"So this is the great Kabir Malhotra…"

Kabir didn't move.

"You broke into my home," Kabir said coldly.

Aarav tilted his head.

"No…"

"I entered your mind."

Silence.

Anaya felt a chill.

Kabir's grip tightened on the gun.

"Leave."

Aarav laughed softly.

"I just came to see something."

His eyes shifted to Anaya.

"Her."

Anaya stepped slightly forward.

Kabir instantly moved in front of her.

Protective.

Aarav smiled wider.

"So it's true…"

"Even the strongest man…"

"…has a weakness he calls love."

Kabir's eyes darkened.

"She is not my weakness."

Aarav nodded slowly.

"Then prove it."

Silence.

Wind blew between them.

Heavy tension.

Aarav took a step closer.

"I don't want your empire…"

"I don't want your money…"

He paused.

"I want you to destroy yourself."

Kabir didn't react.

But his jaw tightened.

Aarav continued softly.

"Because men like you…"

"Don't fall because of enemies."

"They fall because of love."

Anaya's heart beat faster.

Kabir turned slightly to her.

Just for a second.

And that was enough.

Aarav noticed it.

Immediately.

A small smile.

"See?"

"That look…"

"That pause…"

"That's enough."

Kabir suddenly raised his gun.

"Last warning."

Aarav didn't even flinch.

"You won't shoot."

Silence.

Kabir froze.

Aarav smiled.

"Because if you do…"

"You lose her."

Kabir's hand tightened.

Anaya stepped forward quickly.

"Kabir, don't listen to him."

Aarav looked at her now.

Soft voice.

Dangerous meaning.

"You're beautiful…"

"But beauty always becomes the reason for destruction."

Kabir snapped.

He fired—

BUT—

Aarav was gone.

Moved instantly behind a car.

Smirk.

"Too emotional, Kabir."

"You'll lose like this."

Kabir moved forward—

But Anaya grabbed his hand.

"Stop…"

Her voice steady.

"He wants you angry."

Kabir paused.

Aarav watched them.

Studying.

Calculating.

Then he spoke softly.

"I'll come back."

"And next time…"

He looked at Anaya.

"I won't leave empty-handed."

Then he turned.

Walked away.

Calm.

Like nothing happened.

Silence returned.

Kabir's breathing was heavy.

Anaya held his arm.

"Kabir…"

He didn't answer.

Because for the first time…

He felt something dangerous.

Not fear of death.

Fear of losing her.

Inside the mansion later—

Kabir stood alone in the dark room.

Anaya entered slowly.

"You're thinking too much," she said softly.

Kabir didn't turn.

"He knows too much."

Anaya walked closer.

"Then we'll be smarter."

Kabir finally looked at her.

His voice low.

Serious.

"This isn't war anymore…"

"It's manipulation."

Anaya placed her hand on his chest.

"Then don't let him get inside your head."

Kabir held her hand.

"I already let one person inside."

Anaya smiled softly.

"Then don't lose him."

Kabir pulled her closer.

"I won't."

But somewhere far away…

Aarav watched from surveillance screens.

And smiled.

"Perfect…"

"They're already connected."

"And connected hearts…"

"…break the easiest."
