At last, it was Gopal Bhar's turn.
He walked onto the field casually, as if he were taking a stroll in a garden. He picked up the bow awkwardly, turning it around once or twice, as if unsure how to hold it properly.
The audience began to chuckle.
Gopal pulled the string with visible effort. His face twisted in exaggerated concentration. After a moment, he released the arrow.
The arrow flew wildly—far away from the target—and landed somewhere beyond the field!
The crowd burst into loud laughter. Some people clapped jokingly. The ministers shook their heads.
The king smiled and said,
"Gopal, that was perhaps the worst shot I have ever seen!"
