Chapter 1 - The story of my life

My name is Akash, and I'm from Meghalaya North Garo Hills, in the constituency of Kharkutta, Residence Gonesh. I was born on September, 24, 2001. I have four sisters- two elder ones and two younger ones amd one elder brother. My father's name was Dunki and my mother name is Sanitha.

As a child, I was very active and loved playing games like kabaddi and seven stones. I started school at the age of four, beginning in Nursery. My father, who was a pastor in our Village and was very supportive of my education. He taught me how to write and helped me with my homework whenever needed.

However, as I grew older, I become involved in unhealthy habits. When I was 16, I passed my class 10 exams, but I was addicted to cigarette and alcohol. My father strongly opposed this, but I didn't listen to him. Eventually, I drank excessively one day and lost control, which causes a lot of trouble for my family. It was then that I realised how much alcohol was ruining my life and my family's happiness. I repented and made a decision to change.

I went back to school and started my class 11 studies. During that time, I fell in love with a girl named Arkha Merry. We began a relationship and it was a good and memorable time in my life. However, a few months later, my father was passed away. I felt a deep sense of guilt because I had caused him so much sorrow while he was alive. I hadn't done anything meaningful for him, and I regretted it deeply.

After my father's death, I focused on my studies and started working on becoming a better person. My relationship with Arkha continued, but eventually, after completing my class 12, I joined Mendi college and moved to the hostel. There I met another girl, Jita, who I had crush on her during my childhood. Jita is a good girl, and she is also my uncle's daughter from the same village, and we share the same denomination.

At one point, I found myself in a dilemma- having two girlfriends was unfair to both of them. After careful consideration, I decided to break up with Arkha, even though we had been together for three years. Jita, initially, didn't like me much because of my past with alcohol, but over time, she began to like me.

For a few months, I couldn't move on from the memories with Arkha. However, after seven months, I was able to forget her and fully focus on my studies and relationship with Jita. We have been happy together ever since.
