Jessica Johns was laying on her bed. Her phone in-between her palms. If you look at her, you might think she's seriously doing something important on the phone but the truth was, she was scrolling through Facebook without even reading posts. Yes, she had woken up that morning to a boring house. Her mother (Mr. Johns) had left home early that day to attend to an emergency at her hospital. Her father had travelled to America to take care of some business and she's now left with a big luxurious mansion and her nanny (Ms. Caro). Life will be much boring with her nanny everyday. She talks little and occasionally, sometimes she wonder if she's really human but well, she is. She takes much care of her so, she's real.
Jessica was still enjoying the boring moment when she heard her mother's voice calling her. She happily jumped out of the bed and ran fastly down to the living room. Atleast, there will be nothing like silence in the house anymore, not when her mother is back from work.
"What's up! Big mama?".... Jessica asked her mother who was sitting majesty like a queen in one of the couches in the living room.
Mrs. Johns smiled when she saw her daughter "come here" .... she said opening her arms for her daughter to hug her.
She happily ran to her mother and hugged her. She the dat next to her .
"How have you been?" .....Mrs. Johns asked her daughter.
"You already know the answer my queen. You know my life is boring without you. I miss you" .....Jessica replied while grinning.
"Alright, I forgot you've got sweet words stuck on this your sharp tongue. Anyways, I've got news for you. Both bad and good. Which one do you want to hear first?.....
"The bad one" ....Jessica replied with a bit if confusion in her voice.
"OK then. The bad one is, your father called and informed me on his change of plans. He won't be back till next year. But he also told me to say sorry to you on his behalf and he will call you after his busy day. And the good one is, I've finally found the perfect high school for you!"....
"Oh" Jessica muttered.
"Oh? That's all you can say?"
"I'm just disappointed that I won't see dad until a year later. But I'm definitely happy about the second news. I can finally start my high school journey now " ...Jessica said with a small smile on her face.
Mr. Johns held both of her daughter's cheeks and said...
"I know how you feel about your father's news but you'll be OK, hm? I'll make sure to settle you well in the school and provide for you all your needs. Ok? Though I wanted you to be a day student so I could see you everyday but it's you who chose to live in the school and I respect that, but I just want you to know that I'll make sure to check up on you any little chance I'd get so you won't feel like I've abandoned you"
"Fine. I'm good. And I trust you." Jessica said and hugged her mother....
"Mrs. Johns, please I'm done with the cooking. Should I serve you both?" Ms. Caro asked.
"Ofcourse Caro. Go ahead."
"Now let's go and get something to eat " Jessica held her mother's hand while they walked to the dinning table.

"Man this is not fair!"
"Nothing is fair in video games"
"Ruby, look! He'll will kill you!"
" You just wait and watch!"
Ruby Rams along with his two bestfriends (Romeo and Alfred) got literally lost in the game. They had played four rounds and Ruby could only win one. Alfred chose to give instructions to Ruby after he couldn't win any of the rounds. He was not made for games. Meanwhile, Romeo was trying hard not to tell Ruby to give up, because literally, he has won the game. After many hardships, Ruby finally won the second time.....
"Ooooh! I told you! I told you not to mess with me! I'm a pro man!" Ruby kept shaking and shouting happily at Romeo.....
"But man, you only won two and I won three. So, I'm still the winner. "
"Well, I could challenge you. That's all that matters. What do you think Alf?"
"Finally, the goat has met his match. That's an interesting headline "
"And you, what headline could you make? The lost goat? That would be interesting too don't you think?"Romeo said grinning at Alfred.
"I'm out" Alfred dramatically raised his hands in the air.
"Good" Romeo said and they all burst into laughter.
"Alright people, get something to drink " (Chloe) RUBY'S elder sister said handing each of them a glass of orange juice.
"Thanks my love" Ruby said dramatically
"You are welcome my prince " Chloe said bowing like a princess. And they all fell into another season of laughter.
" I heard you boys are leaving for high school tomorrow. Are you done packing?"
"My mom would be done by now" Alfred said sipping from the glass.
"Yeah, I'm all set" Romeo said
"Ok" Ruby said shortly
"What's do you mean ok?" Chloe asked already knowing the answer
" because I haven't even started packing "
"So, when do you plan to do that?"
"You know I was waiting for you. I'm still your baby brother " Ruby said while looking playfully at her sister.
" I knew this is the reason why mom called me here today. What I don't understand I'd the reason why I fell for that trick"
" Because you love me very much and you want to swe me everyday. Especially when I'm about to leave home for some months. "
"Keep dreaming "
"Thank you." Ruby smiled at her sister before she left for RUBY'S room to start packing his things.
"So, we are really doing this tomorrow?" Alfred asked
"Yes we are" Ruby said.
" unless you are deciding to hide under your bed again so your mom won't see you" Romeo said
"You know it was a mistake right? Alfred genuinely said
"What? To hide under your bed or to get caught by whom you are hiding from? Ruby said dramatically
"No, to sit here along with the both of you. That was the biggest mistake I made" Alfred said and left.
Ruby and Romeo looked at each other and started laughing.

Mrs. Johns had already arrived with Ms. Caro to drop Jessica at "ROYAL HIGH SCHOOL " in Accra. They had gone through all the procedures and was about to leave. But Jessica seemed off. Though she was the one who stated the idea to come to boarding house, but at that moment, she felt she made the wrong decision when she saw her mom and nanny going home without her. But, Mrs. Johns assured her again to visit her everytime she could. Jessica got her confidence back and understood everything.
Mrs. Johns and Ms. Caro finally left. And The Master called someone people to help show Jessica the dormitory.

Meanwhile, Ruby, Romeo and Alfred had arrived in the school earlier than Jessica. They were in the dormitory arranging their things and chatting.
"You've already got girls to eye you Ruby" Alfred said while he spread the bedspread on the bed.
"It that a new thing to you Alf?" Romeo asked looking at what Alfred was doing.
"No. I just think his handsomeness doesn't wait to get noticed. It just appear "
"That's true though. But, why you didn't see how that fair girl was looking at you?"Romeo asked Alfred
"I'm glad you noticed. I never knew you cared about me that much" Alfred said while he tried to hug Romeo
"You better stop there before we both get expelled from the school on our first day!"
"I don't mind that. I'd go home with you, that's the only thing that matters " Alfred smiled moving closer to Romeo
" you are a big shame to our generation"
"Atleast, not to the girls" Alfred said and went back from Romeo.
"I'm done. Let's get some fresh air first" Ruby said zipping his class bag. And carrying it along with him.
" And where do you think you going with this?" Romeo asked pointing at RUBY'S class side bag which was filled with exercise books and a notebook.
" to find somewhere and memorize things "
"Really ? We only got here man!" Alfred said confused
"An hour already . That's enough to know new things. Let's go" Ruby said and led the way and the two friends followed.
