Chapter1: A change of Air
On the advice of a dodoctor ,i came to the country side for a change of air.
i stayed in a large house surrounded by walls,
with a garden inside.
At night, sometsometimes a strange melody
would begin.It broke my sleep.
i would open the door and sit quietly on the veranda.
slowly,as the night faded, the birds began their chorus.
Among them,the crow's voice was the loudest.
Before the darkness fully disappeared ,others joined bulbuls,mynas,sparrows.
Though i could not always see them ckearly, i felt as if i knew them well.
There was one pair of birds that always came late.
They sat on the highest branch of a eucalyptus tree by the wall.
Every day they came and lelt together.
But one day they did not come.
For no clear reason, i felt restless.
As if something small, yet meaningful, was missing from my life.
