Chapter 1 - The Day My Life Fell Apart.

The wedding hall was filled with laughter, music, and people who pretended to care about me.

I stood in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection in the white dress I once dreamed of wearing.

Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life.

But something felt… wrong.

My chest felt tight, like I couldn't breathe properly.

"Calm down," I whispered to myself, forcing a smile.

My hands trembled slightly as I adjusted my veil.

Everything was perfect. The decorations, the guests, the expensive hall…

So why did it feel like something was about to go terribly wrong?

"Where is he?" I asked my bridesmaid, trying to keep my voice steady.

She hesitated.

"He said he'd be back soon," she replied.

Back soon?

He had been gone for over thirty minutes.

Murmurs were already spreading among the guests.

I could feel the embarrassment creeping in.

I couldn't just stand here anymore.

Lifting my dress slightly, I walked out of the bridal room, ignoring the calls behind me.

I needed to find him.

The hallway was quiet. Too quiet.

My heels clicked against the floor as I walked slowly, my heart pounding louder with each step.

Then I heard it.

A sound.

Soft.

Intimate.

A moan.

My body froze instantly.

No… it couldn't be.

The sound came again.

Louder this time.

My heart dropped.

It was coming from one of the private rooms.

My hands shook as I reached for the door handle.

"Please… don't let it be what I think," I whispered.

Slowly, I pushed the door open.

And then…

Everything shattered.

There he was.

My fiancé.

On the bed.

With my best friend.

My bouquet slipped from my hand and fell to the floor.

"You…?" my voice broke.

Neither of them looked surprised.

In fact… they looked relieved.

"I'm glad you found out this way."

My heart stopped.

That voice…

It didn't belong to either of them.

Slowly, I turned around—

And that's when I saw him.

Tall. Calm. Dangerous.

Standing by the door like he owned the moment.

His eyes locked onto mine, cold and unreadable.

A slow smile spread across his lips.

"Now," he said softly,

"you have no reason to say no to me anymore."
