Chapter 2 - Day 2 of My Adventure

Today I finally lost sight of my village. I walked almost the entire morning and afternoon, and when the sun sank beyond the horizon, I had to light a small fire to keep warm.

The view of the Kratoar Mountains is beautiful.

From my village you could see them, but only the upper half. Now that I've traveled so far, I can see them in their entirety.

Their towering, snow-covered peaks look even more majestic when you see the whole mountain.

I wonder if anyone lives there.

I once heard stories from the villagers that ice spirits dwell in the highest mountains.

Perhaps one day I'll meet one.

Well… the night was a bit rough for me.

Even though I had camped outside the village before when I went hunting with my father as a child, I didn't remember the blood-sucking insects being so numerous and annoying.

I couldn't sleep well during this first night.

I hope this day goes better.

My goal today is to reach the White Oak Forest. It's still far away, but when I measure it with my thumb, it's about the same height.

That means it's about half a day's journey away.

The old hunter from the village taught me that way of measuring distance several years ago.

I hope he didn't get it wrong.
