Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A Name That Fades

Aarav couldn't stop shaking.

"They've seen you."

Her words echoed in his mind.

Again.

And again.

And again.

"…Who is they?" he asked, his voice barely steady.

The girl didn't answer.

Instead, she looked at him like she was trying to decide something.

Something important.

"…You shouldn't stay near me anymore," she said quietly.

Aarav blinked.

"What?"

"If you do," she continued,"…you'll start disappearing too."

A cold silence followed.

Then Aarav laughed.

Not because it was funny.

But because it was the only thing he could do.

"Yeah… no," he said, shaking his head."I've already seen all this crazy stuff. I'm not just walking away now."

"You don't understand—"

"I understand enough," he cut in."You're being hunted. The world is glitching. And somehow, I'm involved now."

He took a step closer.

"So explain it."

🧠 The Breaking Mind

The girl hesitated.

Then slowly—

She nodded.

"…Fine," she said.

A small pause.

Then she asked—

"What do you remember about me?"

Aarav frowned.

"What kind of question is that? I remember everything—"

He stopped.

Everything…?

A strange pressure built in his head.

"…I remember we met here," he said slowly."You told me I'd forget you."

He paused again.

"…And…"

Silence.

The words didn't come.

Aarav's expression changed.

"…Wait."

He tried again.

"You said… you said…"

Nothing.

Blank.

His breathing became uneven.

"…Why can't I remember?" he whispered.

The girl closed her eyes.

"…It's starting."

⚠️ Memory Loss

Aarav grabbed his head.

"No—no, this isn't happening—"

Fragments of the conversation from last night—

Gone.

Pieces of today—

Fading.

"What's your name?" he asked suddenly.

The girl looked at him.

"…You already asked me that."

"I know, just—just say it again!"

She hesitated.

Then spoke.

And once again—

The sound vanished.

Aarav clenched his fists.

"I didn't hear anything!"

"You're not supposed to," she said softly.

🩸 The Name Test

"No," Aarav said, his voice rising."I'm not accepting this!"

He pointed at her.

"You're real. You're standing right here. So your name exists!"

She didn't respond.

Because she already knew—

What would happen next.

Aarav stepped closer.

"Look at me," he said.

She did.

"Say your name again."

A pause.

Then—

She spoke.

And this time—

Aarav heard something.

Not clearly.

Not fully.

But a fragment.

A single sound.

"…Li…"

Aarav's eyes widened.

"I heard that!" he shouted.

Hope surged through him.

"Say it again!"

But suddenly—

Pain exploded in his head.

Aarav screamed.

💥 The Erasure

The sound—

The name—

The memory—

Started disappearing instantly.

"…No… no… I just heard it…" he gasped.

His mind blurred.

Like someone was ripping pages out of a book.

"Don't force it!" she said urgently."If you try too hard, it'll take more from you!"

But Aarav didn't stop.

"…Li… Li… what comes after…?" he whispered desperately.

His vision shook.

And then—

Something broke.

🧩 Identity Slip

Aarav suddenly froze.

"…Wait."

His voice changed.

Softer.

Uncertain.

"…Why am I here?"

The girl's eyes widened.

"No…"

Aarav looked around.

Confused.

Disoriented.

"…Who are you?" he asked.

Silence.

The question hung in the air.

The same question.

But this time—

It was different.

Because now—

He truly didn't know.

💔 The Reset

The girl stared at him.

Her expression slowly breaking.

"…It's happening faster now," she whispered.

Aarav stepped back slightly.

Uncomfortable.

"…Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked.

She didn't answer.

Instead—

She stepped forward.

Slowly.

Carefully.

Then reached out her hand.

"…We just met," she said softly.

A lie.

But also—

The truth.

🔁 Loop Begins

Aarav hesitated.

Then—

He took her hand.

The moment their skin touched—

The mark on his hand—

Burned.

And suddenly—

A flash.

The forest.

The silence.

Her voice.

"You will forget me."

Aarav gasped.

Memory rushed back—

Again.

He stumbled backward.

"I— I remember—!"

He looked at her.

Eyes wide.

Shaking.

"…You're…"

He stopped.

Because once again—

Her name—

Was gone.
