Dipole realises what slipped out of his tongue and corrects himself
Di : Let's first know each other then the students will understand themselves
Kine : Yeah..... Right (Still lost in his previous sentence)
Di smiles politely and leaves
Kine : (unknowingly smiles and says) So cute...
Kine who took this as an opportunity, everyday in the morning 'Hi','Good morning', 'Hello', 'How you', he said these to Di. Di thought he got at least somebody to get along with at the workplace, but didn't know what was gonna come next. Like everyday, Kine saw Di in the corridor,
Kine (appears out of the blue behind Di) : Good morning, How are you?
Di (surprised but sadly replies) : Not good, the students are not cooperative at all. They won't listen to me neither have a good tone to talk to me nor their actions.
Kine tries to comfort Di, placed his arm round Di's shoulders and says
Kine : Everything will change eventually, Don't worry.
Di upon realisation of Kine's arm backs off with a jerk. Kine confused thinking (Wasn't it just a friendly hug, does he not like physical touches?)
Di (as if scared from core sighs and stammeringly says) : I....I've work to do, I'll leave.
And without even looking back, leaves. Kine, still confused, stood there until the bell rang. It has been two months now that Di has been coming to the school. Students as well have accepted their fate. Kine and Di grew closer and closer. It looked like Di found a good friend in the school.
Not many noticed how these two who were foes a few months ago were now a friendly duo. However, Kine maintained his distance ('cause he cares 'bout Di being uncomfortable). Every morning when Kine appeared out of the blue and greeted Di, he would avoid physical touch and would also meet during recess and even between each class.(That got suspicious a little)
One day, (Recess) Di was correcting test papers sitting on a bench outside the classroom. As Di corrected the sheets he told the lame answers written by students jokingly to Kine who sat right beside him with a little distance.
As Di turned to see why Kine didn't respond to his jokes, he saw Kine smiling at him
Di (In his mind) : What the... How cute…. he got dimples too (and unknowingly smiled back)
Di comes back to reality and snaps his fingers before Kine
Di : What, where were you lost?
Kine (in almost inaudible voice) : You
Di : Huh?
Kine : No, no, nothing, nothing, continue your work.
Di nods and continues his correction. Meanwhile Kine opens up his tiffin.
Kine : Oh my! *Rajma*. Wanna eat?
Di : (continues his correction looking at the answer sheets answers) Wait I'll be done shortly.
Turns to look at Kine why isn't he answering. Finds Kine holding a bite near his face gesturing to him to have it. As Di saw the bite he was flustered by this yet gently received it via his mouth where his lips touched Kine's fingers gently. Kine felt shy of what he did. Both looked away and were awkward then
(Both of their minds cursing themselves : Why did I do that? You idiot)
In awkwardness the day passed. A few days passed with not much convo but awkward moments. Soon after, Di got a permanent position in the school. In the staff room, teachers celebrated the permanent position of Di. Kine sees Di being uncomfortable by the words and touches. Then he suggests,
Kine : Why doesn't Di treat us to this celebration?
Everybody pauses to listen to him and agrees
While Kine comes up with places they can go everyone is focused on him and then Di wasn't touched or questioned anymore. Di thanks Kine in his mind, and of course Kine reads it and smiles.
Ms. Fervor : What happened to Mr. Kinematics? Why smile so much?
Kine realises all eyes are on him, even Di's. So he jokingly answers...
Kine : I'm just happy with the thought of getting treated by Mr. Dipole tonight.
Everyone thought he just flirted casually. Realising he corrected himself
Kine : I meant all of us guys, not just me.
The bell rang and all of them left. Kine helps Di clean up the celebration mess. After they're done, Kine smiles at Di and is ready to leave as he turns back. Di catches hold of his shirt.....
