There was a long silence between the two of us, but I could hear the rhythm of her breathing. Suddenly, she let out a sigh and clicked her hands.
CLANG!
CLANG!
Four distinct metallic sounds filled the room, and I was dropped to the ground in a flash before I even realized what had happened.
I looked up and noticed that the four chains holding me suspended in the air had snapped simultaneously, and the cuffs linked to the chains had broken off like cheap plastic.
I took a look at the woman. She had a complicated expression on her face, like she was touched by what I had just said. I wanted to say more, but I still saw her as an unstable person and needed to be careful about what I said to her.
"Follow me," she said in a soft voice and began walking out of the dark room.
I quickly followed her from behind. We walked out of the room and entered a hallway whose walls were lit by crystals.
